We deliver consulting and microloan support focused on long-term, sustainable growth. Each semester, we take on a select number of consulting projects while working to expand financial access for local businesses through Kiva-backed lending. By pairing strategy with capital, we aim to create meaningful and lasting economic impact in our community.

Our history

Built at Berkeley since 2012.

MFB was founded in 2012 to support organizations and entrepreneurship in the local Bay Area.

Microfinance at Berkeley provides financial and strategic consulting to organizations across industries. Our members apply varied academic perspectives and analytical skill sets to deliver thoughtful, data-driven solutions.
